Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black aristocrats build helmed by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The strategy focuses on establishing early creature fodder and sacrifice outlets to fuel continuous card advantage and incremental life drain. By Turn 4, Sephiroth enters to convert expendable bodies into cards while steadily chipping away at opposing life totals. On Turn 6, the deck orchestrates a burst of four creature deaths in a single turn to transform Sephiroth into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, generating an unremovable life-drain emblem. Supported by redundant drainers like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance, alongside mass card draw from Skullclamp, the deck rapidly drains the table. High-devotion burst turns with Gray Merchant of Asphodel and multi-creature reanimation via Victimize close the game out by Turn 8 across two opponent response cycles.
