Nasty, Filthy Goblinses

Format: Commander

Commander: The Great Goblin

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos amass/counter deck built around The Great Goblin. The commander turns every +1/+1 counter event on a Goblin, Orc, or Army into 2 damage, while his death trigger turns dying bodies into exile-cast card advantage. The primary plan is to build a single enormous Army through amass spells like Rage into the Valley, Gathering of Darkness, Tidings of War, Goblin-town Flunkies, and Misty Mountains Raider, then close games with commander pings and Army combat damage. The deck leans heavily on sacrifice synergies: Culling the Weak, Snowslope Hunter, and The Sackville-Bagginses turn Goblins into mana, cards, and extra triggers. Secondary threats like Azog, Moria's Ruin, Bolg of the North, and Smaug, Wicked Worm provide removal, burst amass, and treasure-fueled draw. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through incremental counter growth, repeated pings, and a resilient Army beatdown plan.
