Deck overview

This Boros deck commands an aerial armada led by Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, blending aggressive Angel tribal synergies with asymmetric damage multiplication and defensive pillowfort elements. The early game focuses on accelerating through artifact mana, cost-reducers like Starnheim Aspirant and Urza's Incubator, and land-catchup mechanics. By Turn 5, the deck establishes an evasive flying board before casting Gisela or redundant multipliers like Fiery Emancipation on Turn 6. Gisela drastically alters combat math, doubling all damage dealt to opponents while halving incoming damage to your life total and permanents. This asymmetry allows the deck to break parity on global damage effects such as Manabarbs and close games rapidly over two combat rounds. Supported by an infinite combat backup line in Aurelia, the Warleader and Helm of the Host, along with protection pieces like Grand Abolisher and Deflecting Swat, the deck executes a resilient, high-impact beatdown strategy.
