Otter Nonsense by user1196114

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier leads a classic Izzet spellslinger deck with a light Otter-typal shell. Vivi is a mana engine that grows +1/+1 and pings each opponent with every noncreature spell; her {0} activation turns that power into red/blue mana once per turn, fueling the exact chain of instants and sorceries that grows her further. The deck wins by chaining large numbers of noncreature spells in a single turn - Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Vivi herself convert each cast into table-wide damage, Fiery Emancipation triples the reach, and Crackle with Power closes with X damage backed by Vivi's mana and Storm-Kiln Artist treasures. A dedicated infinite engine, Hullbreaker Horror plus Sol Ring plus a second mana rock, generates infinite casts, Treasures, and pings. A supporting Otter combat plan via Stormsplitter, Bria, Riptide Rogue, and Valley Floodcaller offers an alternate path. The deck is linear but explosive, with strong draw engines and a solid counterspell suite.
