Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic +1/+1 counters strategy commanded by Ezuri, Claw of Progress. The game plan revolves around rapidly developing low-power (power 2 or less) creatures to generate experience counters on the player. Once Ezuri enters, each subsequent creature cast triggers an experience counter, allowing Ezuri's beginning-of-combat ability to distribute exponential +1/+1 counters onto unblockable, infect, and overrun threats such as Blighted Agent, Invisible Stalker, Cold-Eyed Selkie, and Cultivator of Blades. A critical feature of the deck is the permanent nature of experience counters, which persist on the player even if Ezuri is removed, ensuring fast recovery. Card advantage engines like Fathom Mage and Terrasymbiosis turn counter placement into massive card draw, while a compact infinite combo with Sage of Hours provides an instant extra-turn win condition when 5 or more experience counters are accumulated. Efficient protection spells shield key threats while reinforcing the counter strategy.
