Deck overview

This Orzhov Commander deck is an Angel tribal reanimator strategy commanded by Shilgengar, Sire of Famine. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early ramp and Angel enablers such as Giada, Font of Hope, Bishop of Wings, and Urza's Incubator, while stocking the graveyard using self-mill and discard effects like Ripples of Undeath and Perpetual Timepiece. Once Shilgengar, Sire of Famine enters the battlefield, sacrificing high-toughness Angels produces large quantities of Blood tokens to fuel mass reanimation of the entire graveyard. The deck breaks parity on finality counters using blink spells like Eerie Interlude and Ghostway, or static prevention through Solemnity. The resulting air force of legendary Angels overwhelms opponents through combat within two turn cycles, backed by defensive layers from Avacyn, Angel of Hope and finisher bursts from Akroma's Will.
