Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Sultai graveyard midrange strategy helmed by Muldrotha, the Gravetide. It accelerates through early turns using land ramp and dense self-mill enablers such as Hedron Crab, Stitcher's Supplier, and Grisly Salvage to treat the graveyard as an expansive second hand. By Turn 5, it deploys Muldrotha or alternate engines like Conduit of Worlds and Meren of Clan Nel Toth to achieve compounding card advantage by recurring lands and permanents every turn. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around Turn 6 by resolving impactful payoffs like Living Death, Avenger of Zendikar, or a massive Lord of Extinction. Evasion from Wonder and life-drain bursts from Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord enable it to close the table across two combat rotations by Turn 8. While lacking proactive stack protection and fast infinite combos, its exceptional engine redundancy and deep recovery ensure remarkable staying power through sweepers.
