New Untitled Deck by Hillfinn

Format: Commander

Commander: Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Simic landfall value deck. Aesi is the main engine: the extra land drop plus built-in draw turns every ramp spell into a cantrip and every landfall trigger into more board presence. The normal path is to resolve Aesi by turn 4, chain extra land drops through Exploration, Azusa, and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, then bury opponents under tokens from Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Avenger of Zendikar. The finisher is usually a huge Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation for X=10, which can also tutor Craterhoof directly. Kodama of the East Tree and Roil Elemental act as hidden engines, while Hullbreaker Horror and countermagic protect the board.
