Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Spellslinger and Wizard tribal deck led by Gandalf, Party Guest. The strategy revolves around assembling a board of Legendary Wizards to maximize Gandalf's combat trigger, which casts instants and sorceries from hand for free based on twice the number of legendary Wizards controlled. Early turns focus on establishing mana ramp, cost reduction, and cheap utility Wizards. In the mid-game, Gandalf cheats powerful draw spells and removal to pull ahead in tempo and resources. The deck transitions into a lethal win through explosive combat phases powered by Surge to Victory, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, and Taunt from the Rampart, or large spell chains enabled by Mizzix's Mastery and Aminatou's Augury. It balances proactive aggro-spellslinging with flexible interaction and broad protection spells like Clever Concealment.
