Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as an interactive midrange reanimator strategy piloted by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. The core game plan converts cheap, reactive interaction into consistent card velocity by committing crimes to trigger Marchesa's card selection ability. The deck loads its graveyard with game-ending threats like Archon of Cruelty, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Hullbreaker Horror, and Sepulchral Primordial using Entomb, discard outlets, and Marchesa's filtering. It then reanimates these behemoths ahead of curve with efficient spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Necromancy. Once established, oppressive attrition engines deplete opposing resources while token producers like Gisa, the Hellraiser and mass reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse overwhelm the table through lethal combat damage. Supported by versatile countermagic and spot removal, the deck maintains board control while steadily building unassailable card and board advantage.
