Deck overview

This Rakdos deck centers on Smaug the Impenetrable, leveraging early-game ramp and Goblin amass synergies to transition into an imposing aerial assault. In the opening turns, mana rocks like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Thought Vessel develop the mana base while low-cost creatures and amass cards contest the board. By Turn 6, the deck resolves its 7-mana commander, immediately attacking for 8 flying, indestructible commander damage. Support cards such as Bulk Up, Smaug's Fury, and Andúril, Narsil Reforged accelerate the commander damage clock, while My Precious grants critical hexproof protection. In addition to combat pressure, the list features an infinite combo between Smaug and Stone-Giant of High Pass, which converts repeated noncombat damage triggers into infinite Treasures and direct lethal damage to all opponents. Although the deck is susceptible to exile-based removal and lacks stack interaction, its resilient commander and potent synergy cards present a steady mid-power threat.
