Deck overview

This deck centers on small, evasive creatures dealing combat damage to trigger card draw. Fblthp, Impossibly Lost provides an early burst of cards, but shuffles into the library upon resolving its combat trigger, making the commander more of a one-time draw spell than a constant anchor. The deck therefore relies on persistent draw engines in the 99, such as Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar, Deepfathom Skulker, and Thief's Knife. A strong suite of inexpensive counterspells allows the pilot to defend against critical opposing plays. However, the deck lacks infinite combos, tutors, and overrun effects, meaning it converts its massive card advantage into a win very slowly through incremental combat damage or Psychosis Crawler drains.
