Deck overview

This deck is a five-color polymorph control strategy commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The game plan revolves around generating cheap tokens in the early turns through low-mana enchantments and artifacts like Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Staff of the Storyteller. On Turn 4, the deck deploys Jace and immediately uses his -3 loyalty ability to exile a token, revealing and casting game-ending threats directly from the library without paying their mana costs. The payoff pool includes devastating monsters like Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Archfiend of Despair, and Darksteel Angel. Supported by efficient removal, board wipes, and backup cheat engines like Proteus Staff and Mass Polymorph, the deck controls the board state while crushing opponents through overwhelming combat steps and asymmetric combat taxes.
