Deck overview

This deck is an Esper draw-drain combo-control strategy commanded by Queza, Augur of Agonies. The primary game plan revolves around pairing Queza with Lich's Mastery or Drogskol Reaver to establish a self-sustaining draw-drain chain that converts card draws into direct life loss for opponents and life gain for the pilot. The deck establishes early board defense through Authority of the Consuls and Ghostly Prison, while using cantrips and tutors to assemble its multi-card engines. High-impact spells such as Peer into the Abyss and Alhammarret's Archive provide massive card velocity and sudden bursts of lethal drain. If the commander is disrupted, Approach of the Second Sun and flying beaters like Magister Sphinx serve as independent alternate win conditions. The deck maintains stability with robust spot removal, flexible sweepers, and protective phasing spells.
