Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control strategy led by Vren, the Relentless. It leverages continuous sacrifice and edict effects to clear opposing creature boards while converting those casualties into a lethal army of Relentless Rat tokens. Vren's static ability exiles dying opposing creatures, effectively shutting down graveyard recursion and aristocrat loops. The deck breaks parity on symmetric sacrifice spells like Accursed Marauder and Plaguecrafter by triggering Vren's end-step ability to generate multiple high-power Rat tokens. Supported by an efficient suite of 1-to-2 mana countermagic, card-draw engines that trigger on combat damage, and asymmetric lock pieces like Cursed Totem, the deck systematically chokes opponent resources. Once a wave of Rats is created, it overwhelms life totals through multi-player combat damage over two decisive combat turns.
