Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-red aggressive build centered on Gornog, the Red Reaper, leveraging Warrior tribal synergies, Equipment, and Coward-tagging mechanics. The primary strategy involves deploying low-cost Warriors in the opening turns, casting Gornog to gain immediate attack value, and designating opposing creatures as Cowards. Because Cowards cannot block Warriors and each Coward grants an attack-wide power buff, Gornog rapidly turns opposing blockers into liabilities. In the midgame, the deck compounds this pressure using combat force multipliers like Shared Animosity, Infantry Shield, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. While it hits reliably on curve with basic Mountains and redundant beaters, the deck operates with narrow burn-based interaction and little card advantage beyond rummaging. It remains inherently exposed to board wipes and instant-speed creature removal, making aggressive sequencing and timely life-total pressure essential to close out the table.
