Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Midrange strategy commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. It revolves around handing out Banana artifact tokens to all players, only to punish opponents when those artifacts enter the graveyard. As opponents sacrifice Bananas for mana or lose them to Kibo's forced attack triggers and one-sided sweepers like Vandalblast and Meltdown, Kibo rapidly distributes +1/+1 counters to all Apes and Monkeys. Cards like Bloodroot Apothecary turn token sacrifices into deadly poison counters, while Viridian Revel translates artifact attrition into massive card draw. The deck converts this resource advantage into lethal combat steps using trample enablers such as Kodama of the West Tree and Garruk's Uprising. With strong disruption against artifact-heavy strategies, resilient midrange beaters like Silverback Elder and Kogla, the Titan Ape, and protective spells like Heroic Intervention, Kibo applies continuous pressure while denying opposing development.
