Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange theft strategy commanded by The Madcap Jester. It focuses on exiling cards from opponents' libraries and casting them using any color of mana. The deck accelerates in the early turns using efficient mana rocks and cost reducers, landing its commander on Turn 3 or Turn 4. Once The Madcap Jester attacks, it provides a recurring stream of three stolen cards per combat cycle. The deck translates this card advantage into victory through direct life loss and combat buffs from payoffs like Passionate Archaeologist, Brainstealer Dragon, and Don Andres, the Renegade. Protective equipment like Mithril Coat and Winged Boots safeguards key creatures, while low-cost countermagic and removal disrupt opposing threats. Even without the commander, the deck contains dense backup engines like Etali, Primal Storm and Plargg and Nassari to maintain continuous pressure.
