Sauron, The Dark Lord by CancerPigeon

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grixis amass beatdown deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary plan is to concentrate +1/+1 counters on a single Orc Army, protect it with ward and removal, and finish with Assault on Osgiliath's double strike. Sauron is both a 7/6 ward threat and a command-zone draw engine: whenever the Army hits, the Ring tempts you, letting you discard your hand and draw four. Secondary paths include Sauron, Lord of the Rings as a hidden reanimation threat, and a small token-sacrifice drain package with Mirkwood Bats and Grima Wormtongue. The deck is fair, grindy, and heavily reliant on combat rather than combos.
