Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth helms a Golgari sacrifice-reanimator deck that turns deaths into value and wins through compact combos. The primary plan is to assemble Witherbloom Apprentice + Chain of Smog for infinite life drain, using the seven-plus tutor suite to find the pair. Secondary paths use Carrion Feeder + Gravecrawler + Pitiless Plunderer + Blood Artist loops, Protean Hulk piles, Dina, Soul Steeper + Exquisite Blood, or Mikaeus + Walking Ballista. Meren acts as a repeatable end-step reanimation engine, accumulating experience counters as creatures die and returning key pieces. Dina, Soul Steeper is the hidden combo commander: she turns every life gain into drain and wins with Exquisite Blood.
