Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control and proliferate strategy centered on Jin-Gitaxias // The Great Synthesis. The primary game plan develops mana, establishes card selection, and controls opposing threats using a dense suite of counterspells and bounce effects. On Turn 5, the commander enters play with Ward {2} protection, and on Turn 6 it transforms into The Great Synthesis to draw a massive hand of cards. Chapter II clears opposing non-Phyrexian creatures, clearing the way for Chapter III on Turn 8 to cast the entire hand without paying mana costs. The deck finishes games through extra turns from Time Stretch, lethal infect damage from Blighted Agent, compounding proliferate triggers with Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Inexorable Tide, or life loss from Psychosis Crawler. An independent poison package ensures resilient pressure if the commander is removed.
