Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages nine copies of Nazgûl alongside Witch-king of Angmar to create an aggressive, resilient combat engine powered by Ring temptation. Because every Nazgûl trigger places +1/+1 counters on all Wraiths whenever the Ring tempts you, multiple copies scale each other's power rapidly into lethal attackers. The deck supports this game plan through dedicated graveyard strategies: Buried Alive bins multiple Wraiths alongside Haakon, Stromgald Scourge, allowing you to cast your Knight-typed Wraiths repeatedly from the graveyard. Powerful mana doublers like Crypt Ghast, Caged Sun, and Cabal Coffers fuel high-impact plays such as Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms, which clear opposing boards and return an army of massive deathtouchers in one stroke. While the deck possesses strong board wipes and resilient recursive threats, its reliance on creature combat and lack of stack interaction make it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and graveyard hate.
