Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul combo and cascade deck built around Etali, Primal Conqueror. Its primary goal is to accelerate rapidly into a Turn 4 Etali, using its enter-the-battlefield trigger to cast four free spells from across all players' libraries. The list features heavy redundancy in copy and clone effects such as Twinflame, Molten Duplication, Electroduplicate, and Heat Shimmer, which create nonlegendary copies of Etali to repeatedly trigger its cascade ability and overwhelm the table. To close out games deterministically, the deck integrates the classic two-card infinite combo of Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal. This pair generates infinite creature mana to repeatedly cast and sacrifice Etali from the command zone, exiling and casting every nonland card in all four libraries in a single turn. Robust protection pieces like Deflecting Swat, Veil of Summer, and Hexing Squelcher ensure that critical combo turns resolve smoothly through opposing interaction.
