Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Temur wheels engine led by Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary game plan accelerates into a Turn 4 Xyris using an efficient package of 1–2 CMC ramp spells. Once Xyris is on the battlefield, casting symmetrical wheel effects such as Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, Echo of Eons, or Time Spiral forces opponents to draw large volumes of cards, generating swarms of 21 or more 1/1 Snake creature tokens in a single turn while refilling the pilot's hand with fresh gas. The deck converts these tokens into immediate table-wide lethal damage using passive burn engines like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Goblin Bombardment, or by overwhelming defenses in combat. While the strategy offers immense card velocity and strong reactive countermagic, it inherently refuels opponents' hands and remains vulnerable to well-timed board wipes before the Snake army can untap and attack.
