Deck overview

The deck uses cheap mana creatures and high-power threats to reduce Ghalta, Primal Hunger from twelve mana to a manageable cost. Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Rhonas's Monument, and Hulking Raptor improve the curve, while Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, Beast Whisperer, and Rishkar's Expertise help convert creatures into cards. The main pressure plan is to establish Ghalta, Primal Hunger beside several large creatures, then use Unnatural Growth or Overwhelming Stampede to give the board lethal trample damage. The deck usually creates its first decisive combat around turn 7 and needs two more combat turns to clear the table. It interacts through creature removal and artifact or enchantment destruction, but it cannot fight spells on the stack and has little reliable protection against sweepers. Its main weaknesses are dependence on board presence, limited access to its few finishers, and vulnerability during the turns between assembly and combat.
