Deck overview

This Bant (G/W/U) deck is helmed by Feroz, Ulgrotha's Warden, a planeswalker commander that generates Bird tokens, draws cards, cheats permanents from hand onto the battlefield, and eventually creates a Feroz's Ban stax artifact. The core strategy revolves around a massive redundancy of token doublers (Anointed Procession, Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, Bard, King of Dale, and Elspeth, Storm Slayer) combined with counter doublers (Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider and Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion) to produce an overwhelming army of creatures and supercharge planeswalker loyalty abilities. The deck also packs a heavy stax/tax suite (Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, God-Pharaoh's Statue, Kismet, Frozen Aether, Ghostly Prison, etc.) to slow opponents while it builds. The primary win condition is combat damage from a massive token swarm, supported by planeswalker ultimates and the extra-turn engine of Ichormoon Gauntlet.
