Diggy Diggy Dwarf by jimbobb

Format: Commander

Commander: Dwalin, Weaponmaster

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros (Red/White) deck pairs a Dwarf-tribal core with an aggressive Equipment/voltron plan under Dwalin, Weaponmaster. Every time Dwalin enters or attacks he places a permanent hone counter on each Equipment you control, so the longer the game runs, the harder every equipped body hits. The early turns deploy cheap Equipment alongside draw engines - Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, Kili the Resourceful, and Giott, King of the Dwarves - while Magda, Brazen Outlaw and Treasure-producers such as The Reaver Cleaver and Orcrist, Goblin-cleaver can eventually sacrifice five Treasures to cheat Embercleave or Colossus Hammer onto the battlefield. Wins come primarily from one-shot commander damage: a honed, double-striking Dwalin (via Reyav, Master Smith, Dain Ironfoot, Boros Charm, or Level 3 Blacksmith's Talent) finished with Seize the Day's extra combat. A go-wide fallback uses Reckless Crew, An Unexpected Party // At the Door, and myriad from Hammers of Moradin.
