Necrotic Frost by user6528519

Format: Commander

Commander: Imotekh the Stormlord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Imotekh the Stormlord leads a mono-black artifact token-and-graveyard strategy. The core is to mill or discard artifact creatures, then use recursion pieces such as Myr Retriever, Scrap Trawler, and Anrakyr to repeatedly move cards out of the graveyard, converting each trigger into two 2/2 Necron tokens. Those tokens feed sacrifice engines (Ashnod's Altar, Krark-Clan Ironworks), drain via Marionette Apprentice, Pactdoll Terror, and Ultron, and power Necron Overlord's life-total kill. Bolas's Citadel and Mystic Forge give top-deck inevitability, while Living Death and Lich-Knights' Conquest break parity. The deck is not a fast combo deck, but a resilient engine that wins once the token/recursion loop stabilizes.
