Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger and token midrange strategy led by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The game plan revolves around deploying Y'shtola alongside creatures that reward noncreature spells, then casting spells with mana value 3 or greater to drain opponents, gain life, and draw cards. The deck steadily builds a board of evasive Bird, Moogle, and Hero tokens using cards like Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, G'raha Tia, Scion Reborn, and Summon: Good King Mog XII. Interaction is robust, featuring premier removal spells such as Swords to Plowshares, Snuff Out, and Void Rend, complemented by flexible board wipes like Cleansing Nova and Final Judgment. Defenses like Authority of the Consuls and Propaganda buy time against aggressive opponents. The deck wins around Turn 9 by overwhelming the table with evasive token attacks, sustained Y'shtola burn triggers, and closing spells like Exsanguinate or a kicked Rite of Replication.
