Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck executes a deadly proliferate and poison strategy that bypasses conventional 40-life totals. The game plan centers on infecting each opponent early with cards like Prologue to Phyresis, Ichor Rats, or Blighted Agent, then using Atraxa and synergistic engines such as Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and Contagion Engine to rapidly advance poison counters to ten. Strong mana ramp—including Bloom Tender, Sol Ring, and scaling rocks like Astral Cornucopia—ensures consistent multi-color mana development. Robust card-advantage engines like Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, and Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres keep the hand full of interaction and threats. The deck features versatile interaction including Swords to Plowshares, Cyclonic Rift, Farewell, and Fierce Guardianship to protect its board and disrupt opponents. Once the poison clock starts ticking, Atraxa's end-step triggers and counter multipliers make table elimination fast, inevitable, and resistant to creature blocking.
