Deck overview

This is a mono-blue spellslinger control deck helmed by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea, who doubles as a scalable threat and a cost-reduction engine. The primary game plan is to deploy cheap counterspells and bounce effects to control the board, while token generators such as Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, and Shark Typhoon convert each instant or sorcery into a flying army. Eluge's flood counters make your first spell each turn dramatically cheaper, allowing you to chain spells and build a critical mass of evasive creatures. The deck finishes through combat: waves of flying Drakes, Birds, Sharks, and islandwalk Squid tokens (from Chasm Skulker) overwhelm opponents once the board is stabilized. It lacks infinite combos but leverages sheer card advantage and stack dominance to outlast the pod.
