Deck overview

This Grixis Midrange deck leverages Sauron, the Dark Lord to turn opposing spells into an ever-growing Orc Army while converting Ring-tempting combat triggers into massive 4-card hand refills. The early game focuses on developing mana rocks and establishing utility engines such as Call of the Ring or Palantír of Orthanc. Once Sauron resolves on Turn 5, his built-in legendary sacrifice Ward protects him from conventional spot removal while punishes opponents for casting spells. In the mid-to-late game, the deck leverages deep card velocity to find evasion enablers like The Black Gate and Rogue's Passage, alongside lethal finishers such as Orcish Siegemaster, Lord of the Nazgûl, and Rise of the Dark Realms. While lacking compact two-card infinite combos, the deck overwhelms the table through relentless token generation, superior card advantage, and potent reanimation.
