Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger combo engine built around the Prepare mechanic and commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The game plan utilizes dense two-mana ramp to establish Codie and early value creatures on Turns 2 through 3. On Turn 4, the deck deploys high-impact engines such as Displacer Kitten, Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall, or Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor, using Codie's ability to duplicate prepared spells for explosive card advantage and tutoring. The primary win condition centers on combining Displacer Kitten with Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song on Turn 5. Casting Seething Song triggers Kitten to blink Firesinger, re-preparing it to generate unbounded red mana and storm count. The deck then tutors and casts lethal burn like Crackle with Power or Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate to eliminate the table in a single turn, shielded by Grand Abolisher and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun.
