New Untitled Deck by chaoscodester43

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul is the single-faced centerpiece of a Simic Merfolk tribal deck. His combat explore trigger grows every Merfolk and fills the hand with lands, while his attack trigger puts those lands into play or draws. The primary plan is to chain cheap Merfolk, go wide with hexproof tokens from Deeproot Waters, and blank blockers with islandwalk lords and Herald of Secret Streams. Kumena and Emperor Mihail II act as secondary engines, with Cold-Eyed Selkie and Attuma converting unblocked damage into cards. There is no DFC to split; the deck is built almost entirely around Hakbal's repeated explore value.
