Deck overview

This Abzan deck piloted by Bilbo, Birthday Celebrant is a synergistic lifegain and +1/+1 counters midrange strategy. The deck establishes early board presence with low-cost soul sisters like Soul Warden and Essence Warden, using their recurring lifegain triggers to fuel scaling payoffs such as Treebeard, Gracious Host, Archangel of Thune, and Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn. Bilbo acts as an incremental life amplifier, with his 111-life ultimate serving as an aspirational late-game payoff. The deck primarily wins through wide, heavily buffed combat attacks, supplemented by token swarms from Storm Herd or Felidar Retreat. It also features an unbounded infinite token loop between Rosie Cotton of South Lane and Scurry Oak. Interaction is focused on efficient single-target exile and removal spells like Swords to Plowshares and Assassin's Trophy. Overall, the list is resilient and self-sufficient, creating substantial board presence that demands answers.
