Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is an elfball combo commander built around turning the graveyard into a second, better hand. The deck ramps with cheap elf dorks, stockpiles mana-elf activated abilities (Priest of Titania, Circle of Dreams Druid, Elvish Archdruid, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds) using Buried Alive/Entomb, then casts Thranduil as a reusable mana battery. The primary kill is Staff of Domination: once Thranduil outproduces the Staff's untap/draw costs, it draws into Ezuri, Renegade Leader or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord for lethal. Backups include Maralen, Fae Ascendant free-casting, Lathril's tokens and drain, and Prime Speaker Vannifar tutor chains. No hidden commander; the deck is built to use Thranduil's acquired abilities, while still being functional without him.
