smaug's treasure trove by codename_goose

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm is a Rakdos treasure engine. The primary plan is to flood the board with Treasure tokens, use them for mana and card draw, and close with Revel in Riches after Brass's Bounty creates the tenth Treasure. A secondary combat line uses Gemcutter Buccaneer to turn Treasure tokens into +2/+0 equipment, pushing Smaug, Wicked Worm or Smaug the Magnificent to lethal commander or direct damage. Tutors smooth assembly of the two-card combination, and many treasure producers help the deck rebuild after removal. There is no double-faced commander and no hidden commander; the deck is built on the commander's ETB treasure burst and its treasure-spending draw trigger.
