Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis Midrange build helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages an efficient suite of fast mana rocks and rituals to deploy Sauron on Turn 4. Once on the battlefield, Sauron punishes opposing spells by building a massive Orc Army and provides relentless card velocity by drawing four cards whenever an Army deals combat damage and the Ring tempts you. The deck seamlessly blends two lethal axes: aggressive flying Dragons like Terror of the Peaks, Goldspan Dragon, and Cavern-Hoard Dragon, paired with sacrifice outlets and aristocrat payoffs such as Mirkwood Bats, The Meathook Massacre, and Goblin Bombardment. A deep interactive package featuring free and 1-mana counterspells protects its game plan while disrupting opposing win attempts.
