Deck overview

This deck is a focused Gruul aggressive combat-storm list helmed by Anzrag, the Quake-Mole. It leverages a dense suite of 1-mana dorks and 2-mana ramp to deploy Anzrag reliably on Turn 3. On Turn 4, the deck pairs Anzrag with power doublers, forced-block lure effects, or extra combat engines such as Xenagos, God of Revels, Jeska, Thrice Reborn, and Dolmen Gate to trigger lethal commander damage swings and repeated combat phases. Anzrag's trigger untaps all attacking creatures when blocked, allowing mana dorks to generate surplus mana across extra combat phases. The deck protects its aggressive game plan with an extensive suite of low-cost instant-speed protection spells that grant hexproof and indestructible. As an alternate route to victory, the deck houses a clean two-card infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault and Savage Ventmaw, backed by massive power-based draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker.
