Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white lifegain and +1/+1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Aerith Gainsborough. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Soul Sisters such as Soul Warden and Auriok Champion to generate continuous lifegain triggers from entering creatures. These lifegain events fuel Aerith Gainsborough and high-impact payoffs like Archangel of Thune, Cathars' Crusade, and Nykthos Paragon, transforming small creatures into massive threats. Asymmetric board control from Authority of the Consuls, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, and Damning Verdict clears pathways for decisive combat swings. Supplemental win conditions like Aetherflux Reservoir and Storm Herd weaponize accumulated life totals to close out games directly. While the deck relies on combat damage and remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes, strong functional redundancy and built-in recursion through Celestine, the Living Saint and Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle ensure resilient engine rebuilds across typical game cycles.
