Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov token-drain engine helmed by Kambal, Profiteering Mayor. The strategy blends 'group hug' token distribution with punishing aristocrat mechanics. By giving opponents tokens through cards like Genesis Chamber, Combat Calligrapher, Marching Duodrone, and The Sentry, Golden Guardian, Kambal copies those tokens and drains the table for every token created. The deck leverages token doublers such as Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation alongside life-drain engines like Mirkwood Bats, Corpse Knight, and Suture Priest to whittle down life totals rapidly. Combat defense is fortified by Inkshield and Teferi's Protection, converting opposing aggression into lethal counterattacks. Operating primarily at mid-game velocity, the deck assembles its core on Turn 4, applies lethal pressure on Turn 5, and reliably closes games by Turn 7.
