Deck overview

This mono-black deck runs a resilient aristocrats engine centered on Zombie tribal synergies, sacrifice loops, and grave recursion, with Avacyn, Angel of Horror serving as a high-mana value anchor. The game plan focuses on establishing low-cost sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, and Warren Soultrader alongside recurring fodder like Gravecrawler and card draw engines like Undead Augur and Dark Prophecy. Once the engine is online by Turn 4, the deck deploys asymmetrical board control through Grave Pact and recurring edicts like Fleshbag Marauder and Accursed Marauder on Turn 5. It closes games by Turn 7 through compounded life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Funeral Room // Awakening Hall, supported by mass reanimation from Awakening Hall and Dread Return. While highly resilient against board wipes due to deep reanimation and Avacyn's end-step recursion, the list lacks stack interaction and artifact or enchantment removal, making it vulnerable to early graveyard hate.
