Satoru Umezawa by tyalin

Format: Commander

Commander: Satoru Umezawa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Satoru Umezawa's ninjutsu gives every big creature in hand a discounted, uncounterable-ish cheat into play. The deck uses a swarm of unblockable one-drops to enable ninjutsu, then drops Eldrazi, Colossi, or value Ninja to snowball card advantage and annihilator triggers. Secondary plans include a Deadeye Navigator blink loop with Peregrine Drake or Mistblade Shinobi, and a draw package from Bident, Coastal Piracy, and Ninja draws. The commander's static ability turns every creature card into a cheap ninjutsu enabler, making the deck fast and resilient. Fallback creatures like Sepulchral Primordial and Artisan of Kozilek provide recursion. Yuriko is included as a hidden commander, though Satoru is the primary engine and face built around.
