Ghave, Saporling by Foxhandsomee

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores leads an Abzan token and counter deck that converts mana, counters, and creatures into a dominating board presence. The deck uses Fungus and Saproling synergies to build wide armies, utilizing cards like Tendershoot Dryad, Mycoloth, and Branching Evolution to amplify token production and counter growth. You win primarily by overwhelming opponents with anthem-boosted Saproling swarms, utilizing trampling threats from Flopsie, Bumi's Buddy or Training Regimen. Alternatively, you can close out games via aristocrat drain effects from Bastion of Remembrance, Slimefoot, the Stowaway, and Poison-Tip Archer by sacrificing your token hordes to Ghave.
