Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-matters aggro engine helmed by Arcades, the Strategist. It turns inexpensive, high-toughness defender creatures into efficient beatsticks while drawing a card for each wall deployed. Early turns focus on ramping and establishing walls like Wall of Blossoms and Wall of Denial. Once Arcades enters, the deck rapidly chains creature drops to build a massive board presence. Asymmetric sweepers like The Battle of Bywater and Slaughter the Strong clear opposing blockers while leaving your walls untouched. The deck closes games around Turn 5 or 6 using mass evasion from Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, instant pumps like Tower Defense, or the infect burst of Triumph of the Hordes. Robust defensive spells like Teferi's Protection and Ghostway ensure the army survives opposing board wipes.
