Deck overview

This Boros deck focuses on board-based creature combat led by Mabel, Valley Hero. The early game focuses on deploying efficient low-cost creatures and curving into Mabel on Turn 3. Once Mabel enters, every subsequent creature distributes +1/+1 counters to steadily grow the team. Mid-game turns expand the board using token producers such as Beetleback Chief, Dragon Trainer, and Razorkin Hordecaller, augmented by equipment like Brawler's Plate and Armory of Iroas. While the deck features minor lifegain and burn subthemes with cards like Ajani's Pridemate and Court of Ire, its primary path to victory is honest combat damage across multiple attack steps. Due to a lack of low-cost mana rocks and card-draw engines, the deck develops at normal curve speed and relies on top-deck consistency, peaking around Turns 7 through 10.
