Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm strategy that weaponizes creature affinity to cast massive, game-ending spells for negligible mana. The game plan opens with efficient token producers like Scute Swarm, Bitterbloom Bearer, and Awakening Zone. Once four or more creatures occupy the battlefield, the commander Witherbloom, the Balancer enters ahead of schedule. Witherbloom grants all instants and sorceries affinity for creatures, turning devastating high-cost spells into cheap finishers. On Turn 6, the deck resolves game-breaking sorceries such as Army of the Damned, Rise of the Dark Realms, or Biorhythm for just two or three colored mana. Opponents receive a single turn cycle to find a board wipe before an unstoppable wave of tokens and reanimated threats closes the game on Turn 7. In addition to combat overruns, the deck features the infinite combo of Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer, giving it multiple redundant paths to victory.
