Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable, leveraging the commander's indestructible body and noncombat damage trigger to convert sweepers into massive Treasure reserves. By combining dragon tribal cost reducers and artifact ramp, the deck deploys massive airborne threats starting on Turn 5. Damage spells such as Blasphemous Act and Chandra's Ignition wipe opposing creatures while triggering Smaug to produce double-digit Treasure tokens. These tokens directly feed burn and token amplifiers like Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, and Draconic Visitor to close the game across multiple opponents. Even without the commander, the deck contains high-threat standalone dragons like Terror of the Peaks and Ancient Copper Dragon that present fast lethal clocks.
