Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Esper draw-hug/pillow-fort deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The plan is to flood the table with symmetrical draw effects - Howling Mine, Dictate of Kruphix, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Windfall - while the deck hides behind a wall of attack taxes: Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and Solitary Confinement. The commander turns every 3+ mana noncreature spell into a 2-point drain and a life-gain trigger, while Queza, Augur of Agonies, Psychosis Crawler, and Enduring Tenacity convert the card flow into damage. The primary win is Approach of the Second Sun, cast twice after a deep draw; Laboratory Maniac is the alternate, and Felidar Sovereign offers a life-gain backup. The deck is slow, deliberate, and aims to outlast the table rather than race it.
