Deck overview

This Golgari Midrange Reanimator and Aristocrats deck is led by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The deck focuses on accelerating its mana on Turns 1–2, filling the graveyard through targeted mill and discard, and deploying Meren on Turn 3 or 4. Once established, Meren turns the graveyard into a repeatable toolbox, grinding down opposing creature boards through recursive edicts such as Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder, while blanking combat steps with Spore Frog. The primary win condition is an infinite aristocrats drain loop featuring Forsaken Miner, Phyrexian Altar (or Warren Soultrader), and Blood Artist, easily assembled and executed on Turn 5 via Razaketh, the Foulblooded. The deck possesses exceptional card flow and recovery due to redundant reanimation effects and engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Six. While resilient against traditional destruction, it remains vulnerable to early rest-in-peace style graveyard exile and lacks stack-based countermagic.
